Procrastination is delaying your destination. That\'s right. When we hold back from doing something waiting for the moon, the sun and the stars to be aligned, when we wait for the perfect fit and time or for peace in our homes and harmony in our relationships, when we hesitate before taking the next step, we are holding ourselves back from possibility.
Possibility is an open door to something more so don\'t wait until everything is just right. It will never be perfect. There will always be challenges and obstacles (some imagined, others real) but they are there to egg us on. Talk yourself out of procrastinating, and take every step you need to reach your destination. With each step you take, you will grow stronger and stronger, more and more skilled, more and more self-confident and more and more successful.

Get Out of Your Own Way.
What you think and what you say to yourself, day in and day out affects everything in your life. Don\'t allow your ‘internal dialogue\' to interfere with the way you want to live your life. Almost everyone I know has been plagued by negative self talk. Thoughts like, 'I could never do that', 'I\'m so dumb', 'I\'m so fill-in-the-blank'or 'What if I fail?' plague everyone at one time or another and become a roadblock. How you handle your daily stressors and what you say to yourself as you go through them will impact very heavily on the outcome of your goals. You are the only one standing in your way from realizing your goals. By recognizing your emotional shifts and making a decision to shut down the voice that demands you hear only the negative you can put yourself on the path to positive self talk. Here are a few tips to help you get started moving out of your own way to make room for abundance.
Develop a more positive attitude:
Listen to internal dialogue.Divide a piece of paper into two columns and for the next couple of days record all the negative thoughts that pop into your head on the left column. Reframe each thought in a positive way and record that on the opposing right. EXAMPLE: 'It\'s impossible to come up with fresh ideas for the spring line', could become: 'I will come up with four new designs before the end of the day.' In time you will be reframing your negative talk into positive talk without having to write it.
Learn to communicate: Not verbalizing what we feel can lead to frustration, hurt or anger. Not asking for what we need or want can lead to resentment, further breaking down lines of communication. Practice saying no when you\'re feeling ‘no\'. Through polite and respectful use of communicating your needs you will gain respect from others and added self-worth for yourself.
Help someone out. One of the greatest gifts you can give yourself is to give to others. Volunteer, make a donation, become a driver for someone housebound, babysit a friend\'s child. Whatever your good deed of the day it will bring a satisfied sense of purpose to you and that will absolutely put a positive spin on the way you think.
Allow yourself to be loved. Finding ways to connect with others is extremely helpful in developing a positive attitude. Accepting love, good wishes, a compliment or a pat on the back is a terrific way to adopt a positive attitude through internalizing the positive energy being sent from a loved one. We are all capable of giving and receiving limitless amounts of love. All that you require is already within you, so do not give your power away by blindly following others. Rather, trust in the goodness that already resides within your heart.
Decide to Have a Positive Day. You get to decide where your mind goes. It is you who powers that internal voice of yours and you who chooses what you\'re going to hear. You can criticize yourself or pump yourself up. You can fall victim to the 'No! No!. No!' or, you can turn things around by bringing 'no\'s' opponent around to overtake the inner critic holding you back from your life\'s purpose.
Our best personal and professional selves come from a place of self love and acceptance. When we can truly love and accept ourselves we can also see those in our world as collaborators on our path of personal learning. Love is a path which brings us closer to the seed of creation and to a place where we can grow, learn and to share joy with others.

We are all partners on a human journey, and the greatest challenge in our roadmap to personal and professional success is to cleave to our humanity, to the values of sharing and caring that make us brothers and sisters on the road of life.
Take a day this week to stomp out the voice of your inner critic; to free yourself from self defeating internal dialogue and judgment.
Make an effort to silence all criticism and negativity for a 24 hour period. Concentrate only on the good in yourself and in others that you meet and interact with. You\'ll be amazed at how much lighter and happier you will feel. Go on. Give the inner critic a day off and get out of your own way!
