Funnyman Steve Harvey gets serious on Black Family Channel's new series "STRAIGHT UP" and gives viewers insight about his childhood to his struggling days as an amateur comedian to the superstar that he is today. The Original King of Comedy also discusses his relationship with God. "I'm in a space where my life is changing for the better. "I want to be a just man. Count on me for "righteousness and goodness," said Harvey.

Harvey's film, "DON'T TRIP...HE AIN'T THROUGH WITH ME YET" hits select theaters on Friday March 17. The hilarious, PG-rated stand-up performance was filmed "live" at Bishop TD Jakes' MegaFest in Atlanta, GA last year. Harvey, a six-time NAACP Image Award winner, playfully pokes fun on "church life" to a packed audience filled with 16,000 members within the faith-based community. Harvey "keeps it real" through laughter and humor while delivering hysterical, gut-busting comedy about everyday situations that are culturally relevant to African-American families and urban communities.

Black Family Channel's new interview series "STRAIGHT UP" will continue to bring frank, provocative and enlightening conversations in the upcoming months with Dave Chappelle, Star Jones and many more! For additional information, visit www.blackfamilychannel.com
